VANCOUVER, WA— The look of the 2016 V2FC squad is taking shape as head coach Aaron Lewis (Corban) continues to look at talent and welcome in players from around the Northwest.

The six guys highlighted below will represent Vancouver in Columbia Blue and Carbon Black with pride, energy and focus. “We are very happy about these guys committing to play with us this summer, and their quality re-emphasizes the type people and players this program is attracting. All of these players have played at very high levels, and yet are not afraid of coming in and working hard within a team system,” says Lewis.

Anthony Hobbs – New Zealand defender Anthony Hobbs has played in the U-17 and U-20 World Cups for his country. It’s a major coup for the Victory to have a player the level of Hobbs coming back to the States to play this summer. He recently was with Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer (he was part of their PDL U-23’s) and right now is back home helping Team Wellington.

Jake Young – Defender / Midfielder Jake Young was NWAC All-Star and was a major part of Corban leading the nation in shutouts per game past season.

Alex Segovia – Midfielder Alex Segovia returns to the Victory from the OSU Beavers. Fans may remember the highlight-reel volley he scored last year for V2FC.

Christo Michaelson – Forward Christo Michaelson (Two-time Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year / Lake Oswego, OR) scored twice last season for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Aaron Kinnes – Defender Aaron Kinnes returns to the Victory after a solid campaign in 2015. Last year Kinnes gained deserved aclaim for saving a drowning man.

BJ Romac – BJ Romac was voted Offensive MVP at Shasta College in 2014. Showing his versatility, he was voted Defensive player of the year at Concordia in 2016.
