Bellingham, WA — The Vancouver Victory Men put in a strong shift on Saturday but came up just short in a 2-1 loss to Bellingham United, the current No. 1 seed in the EPLWA standings.

In a tightly contested match, the Victory battled well against a high-flying Bellingham side and showed they could go toe-to-toe with the league leaders. Vancouver stayed compact, absorbed pressure, and created chances of their own — ultimately pulling one back to stay in it.

Despite their resilience and late push, the equalizer never came. Bellingham’s efficiency in key moments proved to be the difference.

While the loss stings, the performance showed the Victory are capable of competing at the highest level in the league — and with that, there’s still plenty to play for down the stretch.
