VANCOUVER, WA — Vancouver Victory FC (V2FC) will set sail on their maiden voyage in the Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA) with custom, stylized uniforms (“kits”) that will be completely unique to the Clark County club.

Home Kit

The kits, designed and manufactured by California-based Vizari, feature the club’s colors of Columbia Blue, White and Carbon Black, with several touches of shaded patterns and panels. Vizari made the kits as single garments, using technology to seamlessly integrate the club’s logo, EPLWA logo, design patterns and American flag directly into the fabric.

EPLWA Logo-06-CROP-500Victory owner Barrett Goddard traveled to California to meet in person with Vizari. “I wanted to have a home and away jersey that were unique to the Victory,” he says. “I began talking with different reps from different companies, I was running into roadblock after roadblock. No one would help us create a unique jersey. Finally, John Fewkes at Score It Soccer in Portland suggested I speak with Vizari Soccer in Los Angeles. They had a new jersey product called the supplemated jersey that could be custom designed and produced to our specifications. After sending them a general idea on some jersey concepts they sent me back around six home and away jerseys for review. We revised a few times until we came up with the design that we liked.”

Just like running his club, selecting the right kit was a family affair for Goddard. “My sons and wife, all of whom have soccer experience, helped in the selection process. Once this was completed, I flew down to Long Beach, California to meet the owner of Vizari Colin McNeil and his staff. His national sales rep. Roger and designer Rebecca were instrumental in the design and production of the jersey. It was very important for me to establish a relationship with Vizari and the great people there. Colin and I negotiated a contract to have Vizari be our brand supplier.”

Goddard loves the final result. “These jerseys are unique to Vancouver Victory FC and reflect the heritage of our area, logo and exemplify excellence. There are no jerseys like them in the world. When our fans buy and don this kit, they will be wearing an original V2FC baby! John Fewkes at Score It Soccer likes these better than most of the MLS Jerseys. I agree. Of course I am biased.”

The V2FC kits will be made available for fans to purchase. The Victory begin their 2014 EPLWA season on April 27 in Bellingham against Bellingham United FC. The Vancouver home opener is a week later on Sunday May 4 at 2:00 PM at McKenzie Stadium against WestSound FC.
