May 17, 2025 – Tenino, WA

For the second straight match, Vancouver Victory exploded out of the gates—this time netting three goals in the opening 10 minutes—and walked away with a 4-3 penalty shootout win after a 3-3 draw against FC Olympia in Tenino.

Just like their dominant opening in the home opener against Rat City FC, Victory wasted no time. JP Warnell continued his red-hot form with goals in the 3rd and 5th minutes, before Adrian Nunez made it 3-0 in the 10th, leaving Olympia stunned early.

The second half saw the home side mount a spirited comeback, scoring three times to level the match. But when the final whistle blew, Victory didn’t flinch—winning the penalty shootout 4-3 and securing the valuable +2 points in the standings.

Vancouver has now earned back-to-back results to open the EPLWA season and sits unbeaten, with eight goals scored in two matches.

Victory’s resilience and ability to regroup under pressure continue to shine as they protect early leads. This team has shown it can dominate early—and now, it’s showing it can finish strong, too.
